During the commissioning phase, LTMC’s technical experts provided a detailed walkthrough of the machine’s advanced die library. As shown in recent technical sessions, the focus remained on the high-precision punching and shearing dies, which are engineered to maintain absolute concentricity and edge quality over long-term industrial use.
The demonstration highlighted:
Custom Mold Configurations: A wide array of punching dies designed for diverse hole patterns required in Colombian switchgear standards.
Burr-Free Results: The shearing unit's ability to produce perfectly clean edges on both copper and aluminium conductors, eliminating the need for secondary finishing.
Rapid Changeover: The efficiency of the straight-column die library, allowing operators to switch between fabrication tasks with minimal downtime.
The Colombian engineering team expressed high satisfaction with the initial fabrication results, describing the output as "perfectly executed". The machine’s ability to handle heavy-duty copper bars with a positioning accuracy of 0.1mm ensures that every component meets the rigorous tolerances required for high-voltage panel building.
Recognizing the importance of local uptime, LTMC distinguished itself by sending experienced engineers to Colombia to oversee the installation and calibration personally. While many competitors rely on remote assistance, LTMC’s willingness to provide on-site commissioning and operator training in South America ensures that the client can maximize their production capacity from day one.
